During this internship, trainees will be introduced to Quality Assurance concepts and practices, will try on the role of a QA Engineer, and will learn the software development process from the inside out.

Quality Assurance (Intern)

The job of a QA engineer is to ensure that the developed software works as expected and that the users are satisfied.

In the first turn, this internship is intended for IT students and graduates, as well as IT specialists already working in related fields, who would like to try their hand at testing as part of the software development process. We will also consider candidates who do not have a degree in IT, but who have completed IT courses or internships.

Please note that we accept only candidates who have English level starting from B1 (according to CEFR).

Candidates with a good command of the English language, such as English language students and graduates, who are looking to make a career in the highly competitive IT field, are also welcome to give this internship a try.

The internship will include lectures on QA theory and practical tasks on “QA Basics”. You will learn

  • how to work with bug reports 
  • what types of testing are used by QA engineers
  • how to plan testing and prepare test cases
  • specifics of testing on different platforms
  • what tools and services are needed to successfully test various types of software.

    The approximate duration of the internship is 1–1.5 months. The expected workload during the internship is at least 10 hours a week. The most successful interns will receive a stipend based on the achieved results, and the best ones will be offered a job at Mercury.

The first round of selection for the internship will continue until 6th of November. After that, it will take us about a week to interview the finalists of the first round, depending on the number of candidates. The start date of the internship will be announced after the end of the interviews.
